In 2007, Bobby (BJ) & Maria Burdette opened a small, cozy eatery in beautiful scenic McConnelsville, Ohio.  At that time, their dream was to offer the good folks in Morgan County the same quality eats they would get in the bigger cities, at a price local friends and neighbors could easily afford.  Keep it simple, keep it good, keep it affordable.

It wasn't long before word got around town about the grub they were serving...

 Soon there after, The Boondocks took off, fast becoming Morgan County's favorite restaurant.  Bobby & Maria were serving up some of the best food you'd find ANYWHERE, and folks were coming to try it from farther and farther away as the legend grew!  Guests have come from as far away as Arizona, Florida & even Canada just to get a taste of Chef Bobby's award winning BBQ!

Nowadays, The Boondocks boasts as one of the premiere eatery's in ALL of Southern Ohio, having their dishes featured by such publications as Ohio Outdoor Magazines©, Grillin!©, Cbus Quarterly©
and even The Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives®!
